The Embassy Suites International Drive
is proud to announce its certification into the Florida Green
Lodging program!
We are committed to protecting Florida's environment and hope
that you too will appreciate and join our effort to be better
stewards to our Earth.
As we observe our own growing awareness of our impact on
the environment, we realize that an increasing number of travelers
and organizations are doing the same.
So, we have adopted an extensive list of innovative and cost-saving
'green' practices to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste
and improve water conservation.
Here are just a few highlights of our eco-friendly efforts:
- Cleaning Supplies: environmentally friendly cleaning
products are in use
- Recycled Paper: Property-wide use of recycled printer
paper and soy-based ink products.
- Towel/Linen Reuse: Guests can do their pars to
reduce energy and detergents required for daily washings
- Recycling: Back of house recycling programs addressing
glass, bottles, cans, paper, cardboard and more
- Energy Conservation: Use of energy efficient lighting,
timers & thermostat controls in designated back of the
house, public and guest suites.
- Water Conservation: Implementation and auditing
of low flow systems for faucets, toilets, and showers
- Public area recycling bins: Guests are encouraged
to participate in reducing our environmental impact.

What is the Florida Green
Lodging Certification Program?
Launched in March 2004, the Florida Green Lodging Certification
Program establishes environmental guidelines for hotels
and motels to conserve natural resources and prevent
pollution. As reward for designation, Florida is recommending
Green Lodges to companies and trade organizations seeking
environmentally conscious lodging and convention facilities.
So, whether your interest is in hosting a Green
